The precision of a precision bearing installation means the accuracy level of the bearing, i.e. whether it meets the technical requirements and can be used as an alternative after the bearing assembly is finished. Generally speaking, the precision of a bearing installation is related to the bearing itself and the external environment. In other words, the accuracy of the bearing installation is affected by both the bearing and the external environment.
In terms of bearing installation, the most commonly used are high-precision bearings. It is composed of rolling elements, inner rings, Outer rings, seals or shields, and cages. Bearing inner diameter and outer diameter precision and geometrical accuracy laid the corresponding technical requirements to ensure the maximum bearing accuracy under a certain condition.
With respect to the accuracy level of installation, accuracy class P0~P6 is the international standard, classified according to radial internal clearances and tolerances when mounted. Under the conditions of P0~P6, the radial internal clearance and tolerance should meet the requirements. The radial suffix of P0 or P6 of the bearing is usually marked on the cage or packing of bearings.
Consequently, the general standard of bearing quality control should also be considered when assessing the accuracy of the bearing fitting. The bearing qualification rate is 90%, first-time clearance pass rate is 70%, radial runout pass rate is 70%, and axial runout pass rate is 80%. It is through these quality control measurements that we can identify if the precision of a bearing installation is correct.
Finally, when assembling bearings, due to various factors such as the manufacture process, mates, shaft hubs or bearing housing clearance or materials, internal or external radial clearance or pre-load, can cause errors in installation accuracy, so the related departments make detailed requirements for each specific scene, pay close attention to the production process, ensure the accuracy and stability of the installation.
