Jiangsu Suzhou Port Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (JSSP) is a privately owned Chinese shipyard located in Suzhou, a beautiful port city by the Yangtze River, known as the Oriental Venice. Established since 1989, JSSP has become a prominent player in the domestic boat and ship industry.
The shipyard covers an area of about 18,700 square meters and has three distinct integral yards—the marine engineering, outfitting and newbuilding yards—each with its own state-of-the-art equipment and sophisticated technologies. Since its founding, the shipyard has concentrated on the production and repair of various kinds of vessels, including general cargo vessels, chemical tankers, oil tankers, tugboats, passenger ferries, and ice-breaking vessels.
In addition to boat and ship production and repair, JSSP has also engaged in such activities as oil well engineering, dredging, offshore engineering, maritime design, and marine surveying. With an esteemed and experienced engineering team and a staff of experienced shipbuilders, the shipyard has successfully launched over 600 vessels in the past decades.
In the areas of shipbuilding technology, JSSP possesses a number of advanced equipments and advanced numerical control machining equipment, a low noise hydraulic press, gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 80 to 200 tons, advanced welding equipment, and a numerical appearance shaping measuring device. The shipyard adopts modernized production measures including mobile production and modular production, enabling the rapid and high accuracy production of ship structures.
In view of quality assurance and safety, JSSP is certified with ISO9000 and CCS. Apart from its well-equipped technical team, the shipyard is also fitted with a solid material inspection system, ensuring its production meet stringent characteristics of its products.
