Business Performance Management Rules
The following set of rules is to be implemented in order to promote uniformity and order in business performances.
1. The business performance should be held in a safe and appropriate setting. This includes making sure that the performances are held in spaces with adequate safety measures, where the safety and security of performers and audiences are ensured.
2. The business performance should be properly organized, with ample time given for the performance, storage, equipment and other resource needs of performers.
3. The business performance should be planned and managed in accordance with the laws, regulations, and norms of the jurisdiction in which it is held.
4. Any necessary fees related to the performance must be outlined and discussed before the performance takes place.
5. The performers’ wellbeing must be considered at all times during the performance. All performers should be supplied with necessary safety equipment and be advised of safety protocol to follow before, during and after the show.
6. All performers should be properly trained in the performance, and have signed off on a performance contract that outlines what is expected of them and their performance.
7. All performance materials and equipment used must comply with the applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
8. Appropriate licenses must be acquired in order to perform any copyrighted material, and all performers must adhere to copyright law during the performance.
9. Audience must adhere to any house decorated set by the promoter. These include audience rules, courtesy to fellow members and appropriate behavior.
10. All performers should be aware of appropriate business etiquette when performing on any stage, and should remain professional at all times.
11. All performers should arrive on time to all performances, or inform their promoters or managers of any lateness in advance.
12. All performers should take any feedback from their promoters or managers on board, and implement said feedback for the benefit of the show.
13. All performers should be courteous and respectful to their fellow performers, audience members and venue staff.
14. All performers should draw up and maintain an up-to-date performance itinerary, and brief their promoters or managers on any changes to the planned performance.
15. Promoters are encouraged to facilitate contact between all performance workers, especially during breaks in the performance, to ensure everyone is up to date with their assigned roles, and if they are experiencing any issues or problems with their performance.
16. Promoters and managers should ensure crew members are aware of the risks associated with the performance and their work, and that those risks have been adequately managed.
17. All performers should be made aware that their performance is subject to being recorded or broadcasted.
18. All performers should take pre- and post-performance safety drills seriously, and should participate in all pre- and post-performance safety briefings provided by the promoter or manager.
19. Performers should be aware that the promoter or manager may initiate additional safety protocols for their show, which must be observed and followed.
20. All performers should be aware of and observe local laws and regulations relating to their safety and the safety of their audience.
These above rules should serve to ensure that all business performances are held in an orderly and safe fashion and that everyone involved is protected. Furthermore, these rules should be enforced in order to ensure that all performance workers, as well as audience members, have a positive and enjoyable experience.
