Maintenance Requirements for Cantilever Rolling Mill
Cantilever rolling mill is a kind of rolling machine which uses the rolling force to roll various profiles. It is an important and basic device in the fields of ball-making, chemical engineering, mining, steel, etc. In order to reduce the production cost and improve the production efficiency, reliable and effective maintenance of the cantilever rolling mill is required.
The maintenance of cantilever rolling mill contains four aspects: lubrication, inspection, adjustment and repair.
1. Lubrication
Lubrication is the first step in maintenance and plays an important role in the normal functioning of the rolling mill. Before using the cantilever rolling mill, the grease shall be applied evenly on all parts that may form joints. In addition, lubrication shall also be applied to the reducer, bearing, universal joint and drive shaft; regularly check whether the oil in the sump is sufficient, whether the fuel tank is normal and the rail surface of the mould is clean.
2. Inspection
The second step is inspection. Inspect the working condition of the whole machine, bearing temperature, vibration and noise, and other faults. To check whether all key components are in place, and whether there are abnormal noises such as creaking, bumping and tapping sound in the transmission parts, bearing, reducer and other places, and take timely countermeasures.
3. Adjustment
After the inspection, the necessary adjustment should be done. The adjustment includes the adjustment of the gap in the transmission parts and the adjustment of the reducer and the bearing. The adjustment of the gap between the transmission parts and the reducer should be done when the gap between them is too large. The adjustment of the bearing shall be done when the total clearance or the dynamic balance of the bearing is unqualified.
4. Repair
Finally, major repairs shall be implemented when necessary. If any major faults or damages are found, the parts shall be overhauled or replaced in time. Otherwise, it may lead to serious consequences. In addition, parts related to the safety of the cantilever rolling mill shall be replaced with new ones.
