Life is often a journey towards a dream, full of confusions and challenges. Overcoming them all and making progress every day is the main character of life. Some of these challenges often look daunting and difficult to achieve, but when looking deeper, each one of them can serve as a learning opportunity. It is hard work, dedication and sheer will power that will eventually make you reach your dreams.
My father has been a source of inspiration in life and I owe a lot of my success to his guidance. One life lesson he taught me was to never give up on myself and to be consistent with what I do. He always said that if it comes to hard work and dedication, no one can stand in my way.
When I was in college, I had the same goal of graduating with a degree. I knew it was going to be a challenge but seeing my father working rigorously every day to provide me with all the resources to study, I knew that I had to strive hard and use this precious opportunity to make something out of it.
It was a big challenge to get through college with good grades and I started off with great zeal. But soon, I realized that it was not easy. Time management was a huge struggle and I found myself lost in the hustle and bustle of college life. I was often bogged down by my exams, homework and extra-curricular activities and I was struggling to keep up.
It was at this point that I started heaving my fathers advice to heart. I tried to find the balance between studying and having fun. I learnt how to effectively manage my time by setting realistic goals for my studies and utilizing every single minute of my day. I soon understood the power of good planning and hard work and how it can eventually lead to success.
With self-discipline and staying focused, I outperformed my expectations and ended up graduating with high grades! I was naturally elated to reach my goal but I was even more amazed at how I had finally conquered my biggest challenge in life.
This experience taught me that consistency and perseverance makes you successful. It also showed me that support of family and friends can give you immense strength to tackle unpredictable challenges that come your way.
My fathers inspirational words have strengthened me to strive hard to reach my dream. With the valuable lessons that I learnt, I now understand that I need to make my own fate and use every opportunity to make something out of it. The most important thing is to never give up while striving for my dreams.
