Plastic Additives National Standard
Plastic additives are substances added to plastics before or during their preparation, compounding, and end use. The purpose of adding plastic additives is to improve the processability, stability, and service performance, such as optical brighteners, plasticizers. Flame retardants, antistatic agents, antioxidants, lubricants, colorants, fillers, reinforcing agents, stabilizers, biocides, and other functional additives. The causes for the use of these additives are to improve the intrinsic properties of plastics, to accelerate and facilitate the processing of plastics, and to impart new properties to plastics.
China currently has a number of national standards for plastic additives.
1. GB/T 15180-2008 Synthetic organic plasticizers General rules for determination of quality
This standard specifies the general rules for the determination of the quality of synthetic organic plasticizers. The characteristics, requirements, test methods and inspection rules are specified.
2. GB 21863-2008 Specification rules rubber and plastic products Auxiliary agents
This standard specifies the type, scope of application, symbol, scope of application and test methods of plastic and rubber products, and auxiliary agents.
3. GB 24539-2009 Outstanding Flame retardant plasticized PVC resin Aimed at preventing hazards caused by fire
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods and inspection rules of outstanding flame retardant plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin. The plasticized PVC resin referred to in this standard is PVC resin and a flame retardant plasticizer and other additives (such as stabilizers) in the formula, and the mixture must be thoroughly mixed and homogenized.
4. GB/T 25393-2010 Flame Retardant for PVC Plasticized resins. Aimed at preventing fire hazards.
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods and inspection rules for PVC plasticized resins containing flame retardant additives.
5. GB/T 25858-2010 Determination of migration of plasticizers from rigid polyvinyl chloride
This standard specifies the determination methods for the migration of plasticizers from rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
6. GB/T 26464-2010 plastic antioxidants methods of determination
This standard specifies the test methods for the determination of the activity of plastic antioxidants.
7. AG1081-2010 Plastic Stabilizers
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods and inspection rules of plastic stabilizers.
8. GB/T 30859-2014 Resin Based Powder Coatings Antioxidants Test Method
This standard specifies the determination methods of antioxidant activity of resin based powder coatings.
With the continuous development of plastic additives industry, the formulation and application of plastic additives are also constantly advancing. The application of plastic additives makes the properties of plastic products more stable and reliable, but also makes their processing more convenient, which can increase product yield and reduce production costs. Plastics additives are the basis of plastic products, and the development of new types of plastic additives is an important part of the development of plastic materials and the main driver of the plastic industry.
