Abstract
Automation meters control room design, the design can be divided into two parts according to the construction, mainly in automation and control devices, actuators, detectoe and instrumentation as well as second phase of the system running, including control rooms conmposition of hardware, software, control system and control strategy. In this paper, after analyzing the structure and function of system, learning the design details, combining the actual processing, proposed a comprehensive solution with practical experience to design the automation meter control room.
1 Introduction
Automation meter control room is a part of the process control of automation system communication interface, instrument and process with humans and equipment. It can monitor physical systems operation closely and can regulate process dynamically according to the requirement. It is the base of full automation and the pivot of automation control technology.
2 Automation Meters Control Room Design
2.1 Communication Devices
Communication system is the bridge between process control system and automation meter control room. The key task of communication system is data exchange between process control system and control room. More of the control rooms devices or equipments should carry out communication to achieve full automation. Communication devices like 4-20mA or DCS bus are used in automation meter control room.
2.2 Automation Meter Control Device
Automation meter control device plays an important role in automation meter control room. Its function is receiving the command from process control system and excuting corresponding action after converted into electric signals. In automation meter control room, mainly contain three type of actuators: pneumatic actuators, DC motors and stepper motors.
2.3 Detectors
It is used to detect the physical parameters store in the controller, including temperature, pressure, flow and so on. Detectors should be matched well with other equipments and instruments, it is not only affect the normal operation of controller, but also affect the accuracy of control.
2.4 Instrumentation
Instrumentation to provide a visual display of the values in the process of control. Including 4-20 mA I/O modules, frequency controllers, switching converters, etc.
2.5 System Running
The system running environment keep the flow of data collection and processing. Different types of system have different requirements on running environment. In the control room, including the main system equipment, such as hardware, software, control system and control strategy.
3 Conclusion
In this paper, through the composition and function of the automation meter control room, analysis on the design details, and with reference to the actual implementation, proposed suitable starting solution. We applied the skills and practical experience to design the automation meter control room. The design of automation meter control room can make better use of automation system to improve the efficiency of communication and people-operation interface, bring more comfortable and safe environment.
