For example, there are European standards EN10255, EN10216-1, EN10217-1, EN10210-1, and EN10297-1, German standards DIN1629, DIN2448 and DIN2458, as well as Russian standard GOST8731. Each standard has different requirements for the pipe wall thickness, mechanical properties, and chemical components.
To ensure the quality of European seamless steel pipes, a variety of non-destructive testing methods may be employed, such as eddy current testing, hydrostatic testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and radiographic testing. Furthermore, a strict quality control system is also necessary to ensure that the pipes meet the required specifications.
