Introduction
The Fushun Mining Bureau is located in Fushun City of Liaoning Province. It is a coal-based industries and energy bureau that was established in 1958 with the mission of managing and exploiting coal resources, developing production and construction, providing energy and services, and promoting local economic development. Its core business includes coal mine geological exploration and management, geological survey, mine construction and development, coal production, coal preparation, utilization of coal resources, and coal management.
History and Development
Since its establishment, the Fushun Mining Bureau has been committed to developing coal mining and utilizing coal resources. It has undertaken geological survey and coal mining exploitation business in Fushun and other Liaoning cities, played an important role in the development of coal industry in the region. During the height of the industrialization of the city, the Fushun Mining Bureau had achieved its mission of supplying all coal needs and provided more than sixty thousand tons of coal each year.
In 1984, the Fushun Mining Bureau went from production to joint venture. Additional services were added, including export services. In 1994 a new industry brochure was published, describing the portion of direct business activities in coal production, processing and utilization.
In the same year, the Fushun Mining Bureau upgraded and expanded its business by establishing the Fushun Coal Preparation and Processing Co. which was mainly engaged in the production, processing and utilization of low-calorie coking coal, bituminous coal and other coal products.
In 1999, the company extended its business to rail transportation and undertook railway transport business. This new service allowed the Fushun Mining Bureau to further expand its business by providing a more comprehensive service to customers, including mine development, coal production and coal product transportation.
In 2003, the Fushun Mining Bureau began to shift its strategy towards optimizing its ownership structure. The original shareholders gradually withdrew from the market, and the Fushun Mining Bureau gradually consolidated its shares by raising capital.
In the same year, the Fushun Mining Bureau started to transform into a modern enterprise system, providing additional services in production, sales and technological services.
In 2006, the Fushun Mining Bureau used its international marketing network to provide international trading and coal product processing services.
In 2007, the Fushun Mining Bureau had shifted its main focus from coal resource exploration and exploitation to comprehensive utilization of coal. It involved in research and development of technologies used to extract coal gas, power-generation, biopharmaceuticals, coal-based chemicals and other coal-based products.
In 2011, the company was restructured, and the Fushun Mining Bureau was reorganized as the main responsible entity.
Today
The Fushun Mining Bureau nowadays is the deputy director unit of the Liaoning Coal Mining and Exploration Association, actively responsible for the development, exploration and utilization of regional coal resources and coal economic industry.
In its core business activities, the Fushun Mining Bureau has built a complete production system, including coal exploration and exploitation, transportation and sales services, coal processing and power generation as well as global trading of coal products. It employs over 4500 people and provides carbon-based products and advanced technologies to over a hundred countries and regions.
