Hot rolled corrugated steel bar standard (GB1499.2-2007)
Introduction
Hot rolled corrugated steel bar is a new structural steel product introduced in the standard of GB1499.2-2007. This product is mainly used for reinforcing the structural components in construction engineering and civil engineering structures. The product has superior properties of high strength, corrosion resistance, welding ability, low shrinkage rate and good toughness.
Hot Rolled Corrugated Steel Bar Structure
The hot rolled corrugated steel bar is a product in the form of uniform profile shape with multiple corrugated or notched structures connected by a high strength steel core rib. The hot rolled corrugated steel bar consists of five parts: High strength steel core rib, high strength steel side rib, notched reinforcement, longitudinal reinforcement and cross-sectional reinforcement. The core ribs are mainly made of high strength steel and the ribbe side ribs are mainly made of high strength steel. The ribbed reinforcement and internal reinforcement are mainly made of weldable low alloy steel. The longitudinal reinforcement is a continuous steel plate with a width of not less than 8mm. The thickness of the steel plate shall not be less than 4mm and the edge slope shall not exceed 10°. The section reinforcement is continuous steel plate with width of not less than 6mm and thickness of not less than 4mm. The edge slope shall not exceed 10°.
Requirements for Hot Rolled Corrugated Steel Bars
The hot rolled corrugated steel bar standard GB1499.2-2007 stipulates the requirements for construction quality control of the product. The requirements for appearance quality, technical indexes and performance requirements of hot rolled corrugated steel bars are as follows:
1. Appearance Quality Requirements
The appearance of hot rolled corrugated steel bar shall be free from non-metallic inclusions, welding defects, cracks and other defects. In addition, the appearance of the reinforcing steel should be clean and free from rust, scale, serious roughness and so on.
2. Technical Index Requirements
The nominal diameter of hot rolled corrugated steel bar should be in the range of 8 ~ 40mm, the yield strength of core rib should be 235MPa, and the tensile strength should be not lower than 345MPa. The ribbed side rib and internal reinforcement should have a yield strength of not less than 355MPa.
3. Performance Requirements
The hot rolled corrugated steel bar should meet the requirements of bending and torsion, elastic modulus and other technical performance indicators.
Applications of Hot Rolled Corrugated Steel Bar
The hot rolled corrugated steel bar is mainly used for composite reinforcing in reinforced concrete structures. It can be used in structure components such as columns, beams, cross walls and other deep foundation piles. It can be used in combination with pre-stressed reinforced concrete and steel components, as well as for building foundations and underground structures. In addition, this product can be used for tunnel engineering and bridge engineering.
Conclusion
The hot rolled corrugated steel bar is a new type of construction steel commonly used in reinforced concrete structures. According to the requirements of the GB1499.2-2007 standard, it has superior properties of high strength, corrosion resistance, welding ability, low shrinkage rate, good toughness and so on. The wide application of hot rolled corrugated steel bar can greatly improve the safety and quality of construction engineering.
