Mining Engineering Department of Chongqing University
Mining Engineering Department of Chongqing University (CQUP) is one of the earliest departments established in all universities in China. It is also the first specialized training unit of mining engineering in the west of China. Since the establishment of the department in 1959, it has trained a large number of mining engineering first-level engineers, who have made remarkable contributions to the development of the mining industry in China.
The Mining Engineering Department of CQUP has always been committed to the cultivation of mining engineering first-level talents, and is committed to the construction of first-class scientific research, teaching and personnel training environment to reach the top of the mining industry. It has established close cooperative relations with many domestic famous universities and research institutes, which has promoted the development of mining engineering in China. In terms of scientific research and personnel training, the department has undertaken many science and technology projects from various key industries and achieved good results.
With a long history and distinguished achievements, the Mining Engineering Department of CQUP has established a scientific research system for mining engineering and achieved many achievements at home and abroad. Its research and development have made great progress in mineral exploration, geophysics, geology, mineral processing, underground construction and other fields. At the same time, it has successively undertaken the major research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 863 Plan, and the 973 Plan.
In terms of personnel training, the Mining Engineering Department of CQUP not only actively explores and improves the personnel training model, but also strengthens international exchanges and cooperation. In recent years, it has carried out a large number of international exchange activities, such as inviting foreign experts and scholars to give lectures, organizing students to go abroad for scientific research, and inviting famous domestic and foreign teaching experts to give academic lectures.
