William F. Wordsworth was an English poet and essayist who wrote during the Romantic era of literature. Wordsworth was also influential in the development of English literature as a whole. He was a major figure in the Romantic movement, continuing the tradition of such poets as Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Robert Burns and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
