Heat Treatment of 25Cr2Mo1VA Alloy Structure Steel
25Cr2Mo1VA alloy structure steel is usually not hardened by heat treatment as it is used in the quenched and tempered state due to the excellent workability after heat treatment. But if needed, the steel can be tempered at the temperature range of 510°C to 780°C. If surface hardening is needed, it can be surface hardened at 880°C to 940°C through quenching and tempering process.
Welding of 25Cr2Mo1VA Alloy Structure Steel
The 25Cr2Mo1VA alloy structure steel can be welded conveniently by shielded metal-arc welding, gas metal-arc welding and submerged arc welding. The weld metal should be preheated to 150 to 200 °C, and the post-weld heat treatment is not necessary.
