Hebei Coke and Chemical Industry Association
The Hebei Coke and Chemical Industry Association (HCCIA) is a leading non-governmental organization that aims to promote the development of the coking and chemical industry in Hebei, China. Established in 1999, HCCIA serves as a bridge between local companies, industry groups, and government, supporting policy formulation and implementation, facilitating knowledge sharing and training, and advocating the interests, rights, and legal benefits of all stakeholders in the coking and chemical industry.
HCCIA is composed of enterprises, petroleum and chemical industrial parks, government-run institutions and research institutes, and other organizations in the coking and chemical industry. HCCIA has built a sound industrial system composed of 87 members, including 46 first-level members, 41 second-level members, and 11 other members. Specifically, these first-level members are the nation’s major coking and chemical mainstays, working in several product categories such as methanol, coal tar, benzene and toluene, and advanced products that require intensive energy, chemicals and talent.
HCCIA cooperates with government agencies throughout the region to provide assistance for the coking and chemical industry. For example, it works with the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and resources for pollution prevention and control, as well as with the Price Administration Commission to ensure fair market access and price setting. HCCIA also serves as a platform for members to network and exchange knowledge and experience. The association organizes and facilitates regular meetings, seminars, and conferences, bringing public attention to coking and chemical industry issues.
The association also offers specialized technical training to members on numerous topics, ranging from advanced coking production processes to project financing. In addition, HCCIA works with government investment and funding agencies to promote national coking and chemical industry-development programs and initiatives, attract investors and venture capital to the region, and stimulate local economic growth. Furthermore, HCCIA provides legal services and advice to its members, helping to defend their rights in the court system.
HCCIA has achieved a great deal in its mission to promote the development of the coking and chemical industry in Hebei. The association’s efforts have improved the local economic conditions, bolstered the industry’s competitive capacity, and contributed to better environment protection.
