The Power of Nature

The forces of nature have each been around for as long as living creatures have been on the earth and are at times either feared or respected by man. They each have such an awesome and powerful presence that when seen by any creature, whether it be human or some other type of creature, they are met with awe and respect. The three main forces of nature are wind, water and fire. These symbolic forces have been seen throughout the centuries as shapes of power, which are seen in various forms in different cultures.

The wind is the most powerful, unpredictable and unseen force of nature. Its power is all-encompassing and can produce both blessing and destruction. Its power is seen in storms and hurricanes, and can produce such destruction when it is unleashed, but it also can be a source of healing and renewal. Wind can give life to place, bringing moisture and rain, as well as serving as a conductor for the ebbs and flows of the sea and land.

Water has once been known as the giver of life. It brings cleanliness, freshness and the feeling of renewal. Water has the power to move mountains and to shape the land. Its movement can create land masses and can destruction cities in a matter of hours. It is the conduit for sea life, and its abundant resources are seemingly limitless. It is also a representation of life’s journey and can be seen as a source of unity and commonality. Its powers are vast and its destruction can be sudden and fierce.

Fire is one of the most symbolic forces of nature. It represents destruction and rebirth. Its destructive energy is often seen in the form of destruction of the physical plane, but its power to give life and rebirth is also strong. It has been revered by many cultures as a symbol of power and strength. Fire is seen as a source of strength and courage, and can be used to purify and refine the will of man, as well as to cleanse the physical plane of life.

These three forces of nature are seen in both respects, destruction and life. They are a representation of the duality that exists in all forms throughout nature, and bring a balance to the laws of nature. They have the power to alter the course of life, death, and the physical plane, and can offer life and destruction in one powerful sweep. Each is to be both feared and respected, as they are all powerful symbols of nature and its power.
