Established in 1993, Zhejiang Provincial Transport Engineering Construction Group Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as ZPTEC) is a wholly state-owned enterprise, with construction, engineering and technology and related businesses as its mainstay of operations. It also engages in transportation, project and investment operations and certain related businesses.
The core business of ZPTEC is in engineering construction and it is a major engineering enterprise with domestic Class A qualification and foreign ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSMS 18001: 2007 Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems certification.
By leveraging cutting-edge engineering construction technologies and management methods, ZPTEC provides high-end professional engineering construction services, including municipal roads and bridges, urban infrastructure, water conservancy and hydropower, railroad light rail and other infrastructure facilities as well as non-road works such as ports, airports, power plants and other projects.
ZPTEC also provides engineering consulting services and project management services. In addition, it supplies and leases construction machinery, tools and equipment. Other businesses include transportation, logistics, engineering machinery and special equipment, project investment and construction, selling materials and non-operating items.
Major projects completed by ZPTEC include the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Expressway, Zhejiang Yong-Tai-Wen Expressway, Shaoxing East Outer Ring Highway, Taizhou North Outer Ring Highway and Hangzhou West Outer Ring Highway. It is also involved in the construction of many airports, ports and high-speed railway projects.
Since its founding, ZPTEC has maintained steady development and enjoyed a high reputation at home and abroad. In 2007, it was among the first group of companies elected to become a Certified National Civil Engineering Contractor by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government.
