Silicon calcium alloy

Silicon calcium alloy is a kind of casting alloy composed of silica and calcium. Its main components are silicon and calcium in certain proportions with other minor elements. It is white in color, solid at room temperature, and can be melted at a temperature of about 1200℃.

The metallurgical properties of silicon-calcium alloy are mainly dense structure, high strength, high fracture toughness, high corrosion resistance and small heat shrinkage stress.

Silicon calcium alloy is mainly used for high temperature resistant fireproofing lining and lining brick, resistant to erosion and abrasion of circulating cooling water, as well as decorative coatings for firepan and stove. It is also widely used in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry and other industries, as well as in aerospace, scientific research, defense and other departments.

Silicon-calcium alloy has been widely used in the manufacture and application of industrial components. It has unique properties, such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and so on. This material is used in the manufacture of various types of furnace lining. It has excellent thermal shock resistance and thermal conductivity, and its service life is longer than that of ordinary alumina brick. Compared with other refractory materials, its thermal shock resistance is much better.

In addition, silicon-calcium alloy can also be used in the manufacture of magazine and refractory castings. It has good resistance to heat shock and sand erosion, which can be applied in places of high temperature and heavy sand erosion, such as the production of aluminum alloy castings.

Silicon-calcium alloy cannot be used for structural parts which are directly exposed to flame, so a reasonable temperature control must be taken for its application. Moreover, it is better to select reasonable casting methods based on the actual situation in order to get better casting performance of silicon-calcium alloy.
