It is vital that students are aware of their payment system when starting their educational journey. Within this document, the outline of the tuition payment system which is to be followed has been elaborated to ensure the latter is understood by all. This policy applies to all students enrolled in day school.
With respect to tuition payments, payment decisions will be left up to the individual student based on the best option for the colleges overall financial health. The methods of payment include but are not limited to, cash, checks, electronic payments and other forms of payment that are readily accepted by the college.
Fees: All applicable fees will be assessed as part of a student’s tuition bill. The tuition fees deemed applicable for a full-time student are fixed for the entire academic year. The total cost of the tuition and fees are liable to the student’s financial responsibility and is mandatory for each term of the academic year.
Payment in Full: As stated above, the student has the option to pay the tuition and fees in full at the beginning of the academic year. Such payments are to be made before the start of the academic year. This will guarantee admission to the university.
Installment Payment Plan: Alternatively, the student also has the option of enrolling for the installment payment plan. This plan will allow for the student to make partial payments against the tuition and fee costs. The first installment is due before the start of the academic year, the second instalment is usually due towards the middle of the academic year and the third installment due at the end of the academic year. This option is particularly beneficial for those students whose total tuition cost exceeds their available funds.
Notification of Payment: Once the tuition payments are processed and received by the college, a payment notification will be issued to the student. This notification will indicate the payment received, the date received and the amount credited towards the tuition bill. Furthermore, this notification may also include any fees associated with the processing of the payment.
Financial Aid: The college strives to make education accessible for all students regardless of their financial ability. With this in mind, the college offers subsidized tuition fees for those students who demonstrate financial need or fall into particular demographics defined by the college.
Reimbursement: For those students who are entering the university on a scholarship or financial aid, the reimbursement for tuition and fees is coordinated by the university and handled on a case by case basis.
In a nutshell, it is the college’s mission to ensure that all students have an opportunity to receive an education free from financial burdening difficulties, hence the respect to all payment systems are held in high regard.
