Philips in China
Philips has had a presence in China since the 1930s and is today one of the leading health technology companies in the country. We are committed to meeting the needs of the Chinese people and contributing to the development of a healthier, more sustainable society.
Philips has been at the forefront of health technology innovation in China for over 80 years. During this time, we have established a number of research and development (R&D) centers in the country, including Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. Our research and development activities have enabled us to develop products tailored to meet the needs of the Chinese market, such as personal healthcare solutions, consumer electronics and home appliances.
We are also committed to providing innovative and accessible healthcare solutions to benefit Chinese people. Our commitment is evident in our work with China’s National Health Commission, which uses Philips’ products and services to help people receive safer and more effective care, both in urban hospital settings and in remote rural clinics. In 2017, we also began working with the China Disabled Persons’ Federation to offer healthcare solutions for people with physical and intellectual disabilities in China.
In addition to helping deliver better health outcomes, Philips is also working to ensure a greener future in China. We are committed to reducing our own environmental footprint, and have established a ‘Green Innovation’ center in Shenzhen to develop energy-efficient products and services. We also work with the local government to promote green living and reduce environmental impact.
We are extremely proud to be part of China’s health and sustainability agenda, and look forward to continuing to serve the Chinese people for many years to come. We believe that our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and providing better health outcomes will create a healthier and more sustainable future for China.
