Cylinder Screen
Cylinder screen, also known as cylindrical sieve, cylinder sieve, is widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and other industries for the size-based grading and filtration of granular materials. The cylinder screen is widely used due to its simple structure, convenient maintenance, and low cost. The cylindrical sieve can be used in the grading and filtration of many materials, such as corn, wheat, soybeans, rice bran, peanuts and other grains and flows; various feed products; various solid, powder and low viscosity materials.
Cylinder sieve is generally composed of frame, screen and purging device. When the material passes through the cylinder screen, the large granules are trapped in the gap between the screens and discharged from the discharge port; the small particles can pass through the screen gap, and are discharged from the outlet through the action of the purging device .
The cylinder sieve has a variety of shapes, such as round, elliptical, oval and oblong. Among them, round cylinder sieve is the most widely used; oval cylinder sieve is suitable for small size, fine particle size, and wide range of size materials. The advantages of the elliptical cylinder sieve are that it can select large particles and small particles, and is suitable for multi-category grading of different size materials.
The structure of the cylindrical sieve is relatively complex. It consists of cylindrical shell, wire mesh, transmission device, feeder, dust collecting device and other components, which can be combined into three types: rotary cylindrical sieve, static cylindrical sieve and mechanical-vibratory combination screen.
The structure of the rotary cylindrical sieve is composed of a cylindrical shell, two gear motors and a gear drive mechanism. The material enters from the feed inlet and is screened by the cylinder screen. This type of sieve has the advantages of simple structure and continuous operation. Its disadvantage is that the accuracy is not high.
The static cylindrical sieve is composed of cylindrical shell, bearing, drive mechanism and other parts. The drive mechanism of the sieve is used to turn the gear in the cylindrical shell, so that the material rotates along with the movement of the gear. During rotation, the material is scanned by static wire mesh, which is a static screening process. It is suitable for the screening of materials with small aperture and large production capacity.
The mechanical-vibratory combination screen is composed of drive mechanism, external vibration source and material collector. The drive mechanism is used to drive the upper and lower cylinder shell to rotate at the same time, the material is subjected to the combined effect of vibration, rotation of the cylinder and the action of the wire mesh to achieve the purpose of screening materials. It is suitable for the grading of granular materials in the range of 0.03-3 mm, and the instantaneous emission rate is up to 70%-90%.
