China Sewing Machinery Association was founded in November 1986. The association unites enterprises involved in manufacturing, sales and service of sewing machinery,auxiliary equipments, related components and materials in China.
The association is mainly responsible for organizing and carrying out research on Chinas sewing machinery industry, providing policy advice and information in accordance with government regulations; organizing professional exchange, participating in international and domestic exhibitions, professional seminars and conferences; studying and popularizing advanced technologies, developing innovation in new products and new technologies; providing technical regulations and standards for the industry; strengthening enterprise management; and providing legal, economic and other consultation services for members.
The association upholds the spirit of serving the industry, serving the members and serving the customers, organizes and develops the industry in accordance with laws, regulations and the rules and regulations of the association. It has become an effective bridge between the government and enterprises, between enterprises and customers, and a platform for domestic and foreign exchange and cooperation.
The members of the association currently cover major domestic sewing machinery and auxiliary equipment companies, with more than 800 in total. The products cover a wide range of categories, including industrial sewing machines, domestic sewing machines, embroidery machines, quilting machines and lace machines, as well as relevant accessories, components and tools.
The association is always committed to the development of the sewing machinery industry. It actively implements the strategy of strengthening the industry through science and technology, and continuously strengthens the introduction and application of advanced manufacturing technology, information technology and quality management in the industry.
The association also takes the idea of strengthening industry self-discipline as its guiding principle. It actively applies modern enterprise management methods, educates and guides manufacturers to abide by laws, regulations and contracts, and creates conditions for fair competition.
The association has won several awards including the National May 1st Labour Certificate and the National Model Association. It is also a national joint conference member of China National Light Industry Council, and a member of the International Apparel Federation.
The association will continue to unite and lead the enterprises in the industry, and make the sewing machinery industry a driving force for the countrys economic development.
