My working week

My working week generally follows a typical pattern. I usually start by arriving at the office, setting up any necessary equipment such as my laptop and printer and making myself a hot drink to start the day. A typical day at the office can involve a range of tasks, such as answering customer queries, dealing with complaints, filing paperwork, taking calls and sorting out emails.

Mid-morning I usually have a break for around 15-20 minutes to grab some food and check my personal emails before heading back to the desk. I have to make sure I am on time for all my internal meetings such as departmental updates and sales forecasts, which usually take place before lunch.

The afternoon usually ends with another break to get a snack and a cup of tea. Early in the week, I often set aside some time to review my progress in meeting my targets and update my to-do list, as well as looking at what tasks need to be completed. At the end of the week, I take a few minutes to summarise the tasks Ive completed, log the hours Ive worked, and make any notes to ensure Im updated on any changes to the business.

At the end of the week, I prepare for the next by setting up my desk, creating any necessary documents, and making plans around what needs to be done. I also prepare for the following Monday by creating to-do lists and setting aside time for any tasks that need to be completed ahead of the week.

Working on a compressed work week has its challenges, but I have found that setting up my week in advance and having regular breaks to refresh is key- This ensures that Im able to stay productive and take the necessary time to recharge.
