Elastic metal butterfly valve is an economical and practical choice for most pipelines. This valve consists of three parts: a hollow cylindrical body, a circular disc and a rotary stem. The upper and lower ends of the body are installed with flanges and the circular disc is connected with the stem. Its disc has irregular and elliptic types, and the materials used for the disc and stem are the same as that for the valve body. The sealing surface of the circular disc is usually overlayed with elastic material such as rubber. When the valve is opened and closed, the circular disc rotates around the axis of the stem and the disc is opened and closed to regulate or block the flow.
Elastic metal butterfly valves are characterized by compact structure and light weight, easy installation and maintenance. The sealing performance is better than that of traditional butterfly valves. When the valve is completely closed, its open type and size will not be changed. The valve can be opened in both the clockwise and anticlockwise directions. It has a large flow coefficient and is not prone to clogging by medium particles. With its unique loading characteristics, it can be used in medium pressure and low vacuum systems. The sleeve contact with the pipeline and the inner surface of the valve body is difficult to produce corrosion products, and the round grinding process of the valve is to reduce the stress concentration and improve the fatigue life of the welding seam. The connection is reliable, can be used to seal stepless operation, preventing over-ore reaction and affecting the accuracy of the device signal transmission.
Elastic metal hard seal butterfly valve can not be used for the pipelines containing high temperature, high pressure and expansion medium, and its maximum operating temperature must not exceed 195℃, the maximum working pressure should not exceed 3.0Mpa, and its stepless regulating range should not exceed 15%. Both actuators and manual handles can be used for this kind of valve operation. All in all, the elastic metal hard seal butterfly valve has efficient operation, flexible adjustment, long service life and other advantages, which is widely used in various equipment and pipelines.
