Abstract

In this study, the design of an automatic machine tool for special U-bolts is discussed. The machine tool is designed to provide high accuracy in processing and excellent repeatability of parts. The design utilizes a three-axis CNC system with a linear up and down movement along the bolts shank. The machine tool is equipped with a positioning system, a measuring system, and a set of clamping units for the special U-bolts. The design process for this machine tool is described in detail, including the design calculations, the selection of components, and the programming.
