The annual Global 500 list ranks the world’s largest corporations by their annual revenue. This year’s edition ranks the top 500 corporations from around the world based on their total revenues for the fiscal year 2008. An analysis of the list reveals that some of the largest companies come from the United States, while other countries such as China, Japan and Germany also have a representable presence on the list.
