Operating Procedures for Three Roller Levellers
Three-roller levelling machine is a rolling machine for sheet metal. It is one of the most important equipment for manufacturing sheet metal parts. This machine can eliminate the tensile stress, stretch and reduce the burr of sheet metal after cold & hot rolling.
The three-roller levelling machine consists of feeding system, leveling system, transmission system,rolls and frame, drive system, electrical system.
I. Pre-operational procedures
1. Check if the power supply voltage is consistent with the nameplate.
2. Check if the cooling and lubricating systems are in good working condition;
3. Check whether the roller alignment is good, if not, adjust it in time.
4. Check if the rollers, rollers, rollers seats, conveyor belt and side guide rolls are in good condition.
5. Check if the adjusting screws and nuts are loose.
6. Check the transmission parts to see if they are in good condition.
7. Check whether the guide rail, transmission device, bearing and other parts are in good condition.
8. Check whether the safety protection device is complete and reliable.
9. Check whether the electrical system is working properly;
10. Clean the machine and keep it in a clean working environment.
II. Operating Procedures
1. Check all the parts and operating conditions of the three-roller leveller machine and make sure they are free of any fault.
2. Start the main motor and idle the machine first. Then adjust the roller position according to the requirements.
3. Feed the plate into the machine, adjust the side plates and speed according to the plate thickness, the lower speed for thin plate, the higher speed for thick plate.
4. Adjust the roll gap and roll pressure in time, the roll gap and roll pressure should meet the requirements of the plate being leveled.
5. During the leveling process, pay attention to plate surface in time and operate stably.
6. The thickness of the plate should not exceed the highest allowable pressure indicated on the machine body.
7. Observe the leveling state of each roller in real time, test the winding of the coil when necessary, and adjust the gap of the roller and the pressure in time.
8. Shut down the machine after finishing levelling and complete the cooling and cleaning procedures.
III. Maintenance
1. Oil supplement: maintenance on a regular basis (once a week, or after every shift change).
2. Roller gap adjustment: check the roller gap at any time, and adjust it as required.
3. Tensioning of belt and chain: adjust the tension of belt/chain regularly (once a week or as needed).
4. Clean the machine and its surroundings regularly, pay attention to any rust, oil leakage and leaking places, repair it in time.
5. Check the electrical system of the machine and clean the wiring regularly, check the switch from time to time.
6. Regularly check the transmission parts to ensure that there is no phenomenon such as loose and wear.
7. When there are any abnormal conditions in the running of the machine, it should be stopped immediately and repaired in time.
IV. Safety Precautions
1. The operator must wear protective clothing and goggles when operating the machine.
2. The machine must be grounded before use.
3. Check the voltage regularly to ensure that it meets the standard requirements.
4. Always pay attention to the operation of equipment and personnel to avoid danger;
5. When replacing the roller, attention must be paid to open the safety device and pick up the roller well.
6. When adjusting the roller gap, attention must be paid to keep it parallel and properly proportioned.
7. Always pay attention to lubrication and maintenance, so as to prolong the service life of the machine.
8. All parts should be used in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer, otherwise it will cause danger.
9. Check before operation whether all locking parts are reliable.
10. Whether the safety protection device is complete and reliable.
11. Keep foreign objects away from the running parts of the equipment.
