JB 2640-81 Steel Casting Technical Conditions
Steel castings are a type of casting process where molten steel is poured into a mold to create a desired shape or product. JB 2640-81 is a set of technical requirements for steel casting. This standard was developed by China National Standardization Management Committee in 1981. The following requirements are outlined in this standard:

4. The dimensions and tolerances must meet certain requirements. The casting must have the necessary dimensional accuracies according to the specified tolerance, and all dimensions must be checked by measuring instruments.
5. The presence of non-metallic inclusions must meet certain limits. The non-metallic inclusions must be controlled according to the user requirements.
6. The hardness must meet certain requirements. The hardness of the steel castings must meet the specified requirements.
7. The surface roughness must meet certain requirements. The surface of the steel casting must have a specified surface roughness according to the requirements.
8. The strength and fatigue properties must meet certain requirements. The strength and fatigue properties of the steel casting must meet the specified requirements.
9. The nondestructive testing must meet certain requirements. Non-destructive tests such as radiographic testing, liquid penetrant testing and ultrasonic testing must be used to check the quality of the steel castings.
10. The documentation requirements must meet certain requirements. All the necessary documentation related to the steel castings such as drawings, test reports, material certificates, and inspection reports must be collected and submitted to the user.
These are the technical requirements as outlined in JB 2640-81 for steel casting. These requirements ensure that the steel casting meets the necessary requirements and produces components with the desired performance, quality and reliability.
