According to the GB/T8162 standard, the weight of seamless steel pipe can be obtained by the outer diameter and wall thickness. Generally, the inner diameter of pipe is called the nominal diameter, and the outer diameter is called the actual diameter. The outer diameter is obtained from the outer diameter plus the wall thickness. As the wall thickness increases, the weight of the seamless steel pipe also increases.

According to the GB/T8162 standard, the length of seamless steel pipe is 6 meters. However, 5.8-meter pipes can also be produced according to customer requirements, but the weight of the 5.8-meter pipe differs from that of the standard length by 1-2 percent.

The applicable pressure of different seamless steel pipes is different. According to different industrial and mining conditions of transportation, there are different required pressure. Generally, the strength of pressure is P≤9.8Mpa, and the strength of pressure is P≤4.8Mpa.
