Design of Low Temperature Reduction Furnace for Iron Alloy

Introduction

Iron alloy is an important alloy material which is widely used in various industrial production and engineering due to its excellent mechanical properties, low cost and low melting point. In order to better improve the properties of iron alloy, it is necessary to reduce the temperature of the furnace during production. Low temperature reduction furnace is a commonly used device in the production process of iron alloy. In this paper, the design of low temperature reduction furnace for iron alloy is introduced to provide reference for the production of iron alloy.

Design of Low Temperature Reduction Furnace

1. Selection of furnace type. Low temperature reduction furnaces are mainly divided into two types: rotary hearth furnaces and conventional heat exchange furnaces. The rotary hearth furnaces can be further divided into two types, namely single-layer and double-layer furnaces. The furnace type of the double-layer furnace is suitable for the production of large quantity of iron alloys, while the single-layer rotary hearth furnace is suitable for small batch production. The heat exchange furnace can also be divided into two types, namely tiltable heat exchange furnace and multiple-layer heat exchange furnace. According to the production requirements of iron alloy, the single-layer rotary hearth furnace should be selected as the low temperature reduction furnace.

2. Design of furnace heating mode. As the rotary hearth furnace is mainly used for the low temperature reduction of iron alloy, it mainly adopts electric heating as its heating source. The furnace adopts electric heating mode and is controlled by temperature controller. The electric heating mode is divided into three types: resistance wire heating, embedded pipe heating and electric heating take-off fan. The electric heating take-off fan is used as the heating source of the low temperature reduction furnace, which can not only reduce energy consumption, but also make the furnace temperature uniform.

3. Design of heating control system. The heating control system is mainly composed of temperature control instrument, PID controller and electric contactor. The temperature control instrument is mainly used to detect the working temperature of the furnace and output electric signals according to the set temperature. The PID controller is mainly used to control the electric contactor to realize the proportion control of power supply, in order to make the furnace temperature more stable. In this way, the temperature control system of the low temperature reduction furnace for iron alloy has been completed.

Conclusion

In this paper, the design of low temperature reduction furnace for iron alloy is introduced in detail. According to the requirements of production, the rotary hearth furnace with electric heating take-off fan should be selected, and the temperature control system should be designed and constructed. Through the design of low temperature reduction furnace, the properties of the iron alloy produced can be improved.
