China Medical device Association
The China Medical Device Association (CMDA) is the non-profit organization established by medical devices and related industries in October 2000. The main task of the association is to promote medical device industry and related industries to improve their services, participate in the international competition, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the industries. Through organizing professional exhibitions and forums, CMDA is dedicated to create a comprehensive and professional platform for the exchange and cooperation of domestic and foreign trade and technology.
The organization currently has more than 1,200 members including enterprises, research institutes, professional cooperatives, individual business owners and so on. The CMDA adheres to the principle of “making contributions to the development of Chinas medical device industry”, and focuses on providing professional services in the aspects of industrial technology, information exchange, legal consultation and network communication, to help the members to better implement their product research, development, production and sales.
For industrial technology services, CMDA organizes product experts for industrial support and periodically holds technology seminars to discuss and solve problems in the product designing and development, production processes, quality control, environmental protection and product security for the medical device industry. In addition, the association is actively establishing the quality certification system for medical device products, identifying and recommending high-quality products produced by member enterprises, to promote the rapid development of Chinas medical device industry.
For the information exchange services, the CMDA provides a global-wide platform for the members to share technology, industry and market information as well as to grasp market opportunities. It cooperates with some of the professional exhibition companies in organizing domestic and global medical device exhibitions, to expand members enterprises market shares. It also reaches out to more than 20 professional print media to publish industry information and share market news. Through all these efforts, the CMDA is committed to help the members to open a wide range of information and technology channels.
For the legal consultation services, the CMDA provides professional advices and answers on the legal issues and problems related to the medical device industry. It also tries to influence the national policies and laws by making proposals and opinions to the government, so that the legal environment of medical device industry will be better and just.
For network communication services, the CMDA organizes various activities like seminars and forums, to help the members to learn from each others experience through face-to-face interaction and to better their skills and understanding towards different aspect of the industry. The CMDA also set up its own website and keeps on updating the medical device industry information and latest development, to create a vibrant platform for communication and cooperation between the members.
