1 Introduction
Oil contamination can be a serious problem in industrial production, as it can greatly reduce the lifespan of machinery and equipment. The removal of oil contamination requires the efficient use of surface treatment techniques. Vacuum heat treatment technology (VHT) is an effective surface treatment technique that is suitable for all kinds of oil contamination and waste treatment applications, and it is widely used in many industries. In this article, we will discuss the physical properties and characteristics of oil, vacuum heat treatment technology and its application in oil contamination treatment. Finally, the conclusions of this article will be summarized and put forward.
2 Overview of Oil
Oil is a natural form of energy that is extracted from crude oil. It is a non-renewable energy source, and is used for a variety of purposes, including as a fuel for automobiles, aircraft, ships, power generation, heating and approximately half of the worlds electricity. It is also used for manufacturing many products, such as plastics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, solvents, lubricants and food ingredients. Its high temperature coefficient and viscosity make it an ideal lubricant for the mechanical parts of various equipment [1].
Oil has a wide range of physical properties and characteristics. It has low surface tension, poor weathering resistance, weak dispersant properties and low oxygen permeability [2]. In addition, oil is easily contaminated by other impurities, such as dust, and is difficult to clean without the use of surface treatment techniques.
3 Vacuum Heat Treatment Technology
Vacuum heat treatment technology (VHT) is a surface treatment technique that uses vacuum technology and heat to treat surfaces. It can effectively reduce the surface tension of the oil, improve its dispersion properties, and improve its corrosion resistance. The vacuum treatment is conducted in a sealed system, with the heat and atmosphere controlled throughout the process.
The process of vacuum heat treatment consists of three main stages. Firstly, the sample is heated to a predetermined temperature and the atmosphere is removed from the chamber. Secondly, the sample is held at the temperature for a period of time to allow the surface structure of the oil to de-saturate. Finally, the temperature is gradually reduced and the sample is allowed to cool.
In order to properly control the vacuum treatment process and ensure the quality of the treatment, the most important parameters should include the temperature, pressure, process time and atmosphere composition.
4 Application of VHT Technology in Oil Contamination Treatment
The vacuum heat treatment technology can be used to effectively reduce the surface tension of the oil, improve its dispersion properties and improve its corrosion resistance. It is therefore an effective technique for treating oil contamination. The specific process of VHT technology in oil contamination treatment can be described as follows:
Firstly, the oil sample is heated to a predetermined temperature in a sealed chamber and the atmosphere is removed from the system. Secondly, the sample is held at the temperature for a period of time to allow the surface structure of the oil to de-saturate. Thirdly, the temperature is gradually reduced and the sample is then cooled to room temperature. Finally, the sample is inspected for any visible contamination and the surface of the sample is cleaned using a suitable solvent.
5 Conclusion
In conclusion, vacuum heat treatment technology is an effective surface treatment technique that is suitable for all kinds of oil contamination treatment applications. It can reduce the oil surface tension, remove local pollution, improve the surface temperature and improve the surface corrosion resistance of the oil sample. Furthermore, the application of the VHT technology in oil contamination treatment can accelerate the cleaning and purification process, thereby increasing the production efficiency and reducing the cost. Therefore, the vacuum heat treatment technology is an effective and economical surface treatment solution for oil contamination treatment.
