This technical specification is applicable to general purpose and special purpose H-shaped steel for mining use. H-shaped steel is the main product in steel structure, and it has the advantages of reliability, economy and good stiffness.

The hot roll H-shaped steel includes small and medium-sized thin-walled H-shaped steel, medium and large thin-walled H-shaped steel, wide H-shaped steel, narrow H-shaped steel, steel grades Bδ, Cδ, Dδ and Eδ, and special thicknesses.

The chemical composition of the H-shaped steel should comply with the provisions of Table 1. The mechanical properties of hot roll H-shaped steel should comply with the provisions of Table 2. The mechanical properties of the special thickness H-shaped steel should comply with the provisions of Table 6.

The steel should have sufficient toughness and weldability. The upper limit of tensile strength should be equal to or greater than the specified total elongation at break, which should not be less than 7%. For the narrow H-shaped steel, when the tensile strength is less than or equal to 540MPa, the value of permanent deformation should not be greater than 10%.

The steel should have stable composition, good casting and rolling process, and good surface quality. The maximum depth of surface defect of cold-formed thin-walled H-shaped steel should be less than 0.13mm. The allowed depth of surface defects of wide H-shaped steel and other H-shaped steel should be ≤0.10mm.

The H-shaped steel should be made of refining or smelting or controlled-rolling or controlled-cooling. The acceptance standard of H-shaped steel should refer to the relevant technical agreement required by the purchasers. The performance of hot-formed H-shaped steel and cold-formed H-shaped steel should comply with the requirements of Table 4 and Table 5.
