Introduction
High temperature alloy hot-rolled and forged barstock for ordinary bearings are widely used in aerospace, automotive and bearing industry due to their excellent performance in high temperature and wear resistance. In order to better develop and use it, YB/T 5245-1993 High Temperature Alloy Hot-rolled and Forged Barstock for Ordinary Bearings was formulated to strengthen the quality control and safety application of the product.
Standard introduction
YB/T 5245-1993 “High Temperature Alloy Hot-rolled and Forged Barstock for Ordinary Bearings standard is the national standard which is formulated by the China National Standardization Administration Committee. This standard specifies the type, size and technical requirements of hot-rolled and forged barstock for ordinary bearings.
The scope of application
The size and type and technical requirements specified in this standard are suitable for high temperature alloy hot-rolled and forged barstock for ordinary bearings made of hot-rolled and forged barsteel (diameter Φ30-200mm, which includes Φ30-200mm hot-rolled and 19-200mm forged).
Materials
This standard uses high temperature alloy steel (AISI 41xx series) and other high temperature alloy materials approximately equivalent to AISI 41xx. The classification and code of the steel are in accordance with GB/T224-1984 Classification of Steel and Marking.
Classification of high temperature alloy bar stock for ordinary bearings
High-temperature alloy barstock for ordinary bearings are divided into five categories according to the different uses:
1. High temperature alloy bar stock for bearings operating under high temperature and heavy load conditions;
2. High temperature alloy bar stock for bearings operating under high temperature and medium load conditions;
3. High temperature alloy bar stock for bearings operating under high temperature and light load conditions;
4. High temperature alloy bar stock for bearings operating under high temperature and low load conditions;
5. High temperature alloy bar stock for bearings operating under low temperature and medium load conditions.
Technical requirements
1. Chemical composition
The chemical composition of the steel should be in accordance with the requirements of Table 1. The smelting method can be agreed upon between the manufacturer and the buyer.
Table 1. Chemical composition
2. Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of the steel should conform to the requirements in Table 2.
Table 2. Mechanical properties
3. Heat treatment
Hot-rolled barstock should be normalized and tempered, while forged barstock should be normalized and quenched and tempered.
4. Delivery status
The delivery state of goods should be in accordance with the agreement between the manufacturer and the buyer.
Inspection regulations
Visual inspection, surface quality inspection, dimensional inspection, mechanical property inspection and non-destructive inspection.
Conclusion
YB/T 5245-1993 “High Temperature Alloy Hot-rolled and Forged Barstock for Ordinary Bearings standard is used to regulate the production and quality of high temperature alloy hot-rolled and forged barstock for ordinary bearings. This standard has certain requirements for the types, sizes, chemical composition, mechanical properties and heat treatment of high temperature alloy hot-rolled and forged barstock for ordinary bearings, as well as inspection regulations. All these requirements are in line with the characteristics and needs of the product, and can effectively ensure the product quality and improve the safety of use.
