Testing of Line Cross Direction Protective Device
Line cross direction protection, mainly used in transmission lines, is an effective measure to protect power grid stability and continuity. This technology can detect faults in the power grid at an early stage and quickly block the fault section, and quickly transfer the remaining load to the healthy network, thus helping to avoid the occurrence of large-scale power outages. In view of the importance of this protection device, this paper mainly studies the field test of the line cross-direction protection device.
The field test of the line cross-direction protection device includes three steps. The first step is to construct the fault test device. The fault test device is mainly used to simulate the fault situation, and the actual line has a fault test device similar to this. This device is mainly installed at the protection zone of a transmission line and will simulate a short circuit or phase short circuit fault on the line. After that, the field personnel will measure the test results to ensure that the fault test device works properly.
The second step is to use the fault measuring protective instrument to measure the output curves of the line break directional protection device. The output data of fault measuring and protection instrument can be used to study the trip characteristics of the line break directional protective device. With the help of an oscilloscope, it can also view the trip characteristics of the line break directional protective device.
The third step is to set the protection parameters of the line break directional protection device. The protection parameters mainly adjust the setting time of the protection device. It includes the characteristics of the time delay and the protective trip. The delay time of the line break directional protection device should meet the preset time delay requirements. After the setting of the protection parameters is completed, the field personnel needs to measure the test results to make sure that the trip times correspond to the determined time delay.
Finally, the staff will use the fault record instrument to store the protective performance data of the line cut-off protection equipment, so as to ensure that the field personnel can view the details of the protective performance anytime and anywhere.
The field test of the line cross-direction protection device is mainly used to ensure the correctness and reliability of the device, play a role in preventing equipment or power system failure, reduce economic losses, improve the safety performance of the device, and maintain the stable operation of the power system. During the test, the field personnel need to follow the instructions of the technical personnel, pay attention to the details of the operation, and complete the field test in a timely and correct manner.
