High Pressure Foam Firefighting Station Design
Foam firefighting is an important part of fire prevention and control. Foam firefighting system is composed of water supply system, foam mixing proportioning system and foam fire extinguishing system. High pressure foam fire extinguishing station is a set of equipment used in foam fire fighting, which is divided into three parts: storage system, foam proportioning system and foam fire extinguishing system. The storage system consists of foam tanks and foam pumps. Foam proportioning system includes foam proportioning device, pressure regulating valve and solenoid valves. Foam fire extinguishing system includes high pressure foam nozzle and foam generator.
The high pressure foam firefighting station should be installed in the place with convenient access, with no obstructive objects around, such as trees and buildings. When selecting the installation place of foam firefighting station, pay attention to the nearby water supply system. The distance between fire station and water supply system should be short, and the water pressure should be stable, which is consistent with the requirements of foam firefighting system.
In terms of fire extinguishing volume, the high pressure foam station has the advantages of large fire extinguishing volume, low water source pressure, high fire-fighting efficiency, light weight and small volume. Generally speaking, foam fire extinguishing pressure can reach 0.5～2.0MPa. It can also be used for larger fire extinguishing water source pressure.
In addition, the high pressure foam station should have anti-corrosion measures to prevent damage to the station caused by corrosive substances in the sprayed liquid. In terms of structural design, the frame of the station must be designed to be safe and reliable. All parts must be designed and installed in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturers.
At present, the high pressure foam firefighting station is widely used in public security, fire extinguishing projects and other occasions. It has the characteristics of high fire fighting efficiency, wide application range and strong adaptability. Therefore, on the basis of taking into account the above factors, the design of high pressure foam fire extinguishing station should be carefully considered.
