20SiMnVB Structure Steel
20SiMnVB structure steel is a kind of high-end martensitic steel, which contains 0.20% carbon, 0.80% silicon, 1.50% manganese and 0.035% nitrogen. The steel has good performance in toughness, strength and fatigue resistance, and its HRC can reach 38-44. This type of steel is usually used for making parts with high accurately requirement, such as gears and heavy-duty axle housing.
This kind of steel is formed by two technological process – secondary refining and electroslag remelting. Secondary refining enables the elimination of impurities and improvement of chemical composition, while electroslag remelting ensures the homogeneity of steel structure and guarantee the excellent performance.
