Baosteel Group Corporation LTD, commonly known as Baosteel, is one of the largest Chinese steel and iron manufacturers in the world. It is located in Shanghai, China. Baosteel was established in 1998 by the merger of two steel companies – Baoshan Iron and Steel Company and Shanghai Based Pudong Iron and Steel Company. The company has since grown to become one of the leading producers of steel and iron in the world.

Baosteel has a number of other plants located in other parts of the country, including plants in Chongqing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, and Shanghai.
Baosteel has a number of partnerships with foreign companies, including ArcelorMittal, Nippon Steel Corporation, and JFE. Baosteel also has a presence in the aerospace industry, which it has furthered with a joint venture with Airbus.
