My Life for the past Five Working Days
Life is a journey full of surprises and an array of different experiences. For the past five working days, Ive enjoyed taking on the challenge of a new job and meeting new people, all while getting accustomed to my duties and responsibilities in my work.
On Monday, I had a great start to the week. I was welcomed at the office and my new co-workers made me feel welcome. Their helpfulness and willingness to answer all my questions was greatly appreciated. I spent most of the day familiarizing myself with the companys operations and my supervisors expectations.
On Tuesday, I felt even more comfortable with my new job when I was given a chance to start my daily duties. My assignment was to interview clients and document their answers for a client satisfaction survey. I really enjoyed this part of my job, since it allowed me to interact with different people each day and learn more about their needs.
Wednesday was a busy day at the office. I was tasked to do a number of different things, from preparing presentations to working on data collection. I had to coordinate with my coworkers to make sure that all the tasks were completed in a timely manner. I found this to be a great learning experience, since it required me to effectively communicate with both my supervisor and my fellow team members.
On Thursday, I was back in the office to wrap up the survey project. I spent the entire day creating reports and submitting them to my supervisor. I also took the time to review some of the feedback that we had received from the survey participants. I found this to be an important part of my job, since it gave me insight into what the clients need and want.
On Friday, I took a break from my work duties to explore the city. I spent some time walking around the local downtown area and visiting some of the historic buildings. The sightseeing experience was both educational and enjoyable. Later on in the day, I went out for dinner with a few of my co-workers. Our conversation was filled with laughter and stories, and I went to bed feeling happy and thankful for the great start to my new job.
These five working days have been a great learning experience for me. On top of gaining the above knowledge, the job has allowed me to develop my communication, problem solving and time management skills. I am looking forward to the upcoming week, and all the new experiences that it brings.
