Antimony Ore Dressing
Antimony ore dressing is based on the differences in physical and chemical properties between different antimony minerals, and can be divided into three types: hand selection, gravity separation and flotation method.
Hand selection
Hand selection is generally used for antimony ore dressing of low grade and medium grade, which is characterized by large difference of proportion and low recovery rate. The hand-selected antimony ore contains compound minerals, so it can be selected by panning or other selection machines. Generally, the ore is selected manually or mechanically (by counting machine) according to the difference in the color and shape of the ore and the surrounding rock.
Gravity separation
There are a large number of antimony ores with different density. Gravity dressing of antimony ores can use jigging machines to separate different types of ores based on the differences in relative density of ores. This is a simple and low-cost method of ore dressing, which is rarely used in general beneficiation production.
Flotation method
The principle of floatation of antimony ore dressing is that due to the different surface properties of various antimony minerals, antimony ore is treated with some medicament to make the antimony minerals with different surface properties adhere to the bubble surface, and then float to the surface with the bubble for further selection. After sufficient pretreatment, the antimony ore can be sent to the flotation machine for flotation. Flotation method is a kind of high efficiency and energy-saving ore dressing method which contains rich ore dressing methods.
The flotation technology is widely used in the beneficiation of antimony titanomagnetite polymetallic ore, greatly improving the beneficiation process and reducing the beneficiation cost.
In summary, the beneficiation method of antimony ore is determined according to the nature of the ore. Due to the differences in physical and chemical properties, the antimony ore can be divided into three types of sorting or stratified selection: hand selection, gravity separation and flotation. The flotation method is the most widely used beneficiation process for antimony ore, and is used in combination with other processes to form a comprehensive beneficiation process.
