Baogang Steel Production Process

Once the raw materials reach the mill, they are melted in a blast furnace and then subjected to a process of oxygen blowing, which removes impurities like nitrogen, sulfur, and phosphorus. This process is known as basic oxygen steelmaking.
After the steel has been refined and cooled, it is moved to a continuous caster for further processing. In the continuous caster, the steel is heated and poured into long strands that are then cut into shorter pieces that are ready for further rolling. The rolling process, or hot rolling, shapes the pieces and reduces their dimensions by forcing them through a series of roller stands.
Once the steel pieces have reached the desired size and shape, they are ready for further processing. Galvanization is the process of coating steel with a layer of zinc to protect it against rust.
Once the galvanization is complete, the steel is moved to a pickling line, where acid is used to clean the steel before it is moved to the cold-rolling line. In the cold-rolling line, the steel is further rolled and then subjected to several treatments, such as tempering, annealing, and surface treatments like painting and plating. After these treatments, the steel is ready for shipment.
Before shipment, the finished product is carefully inspected and tested to ensure that the quality standards are met. Once the product passes inspection, it is packed and sent to various warehouses around the country for distribution.
