China Building Materials Engineering Construction Association
The China Building Materials Engineering Construction Association (CBMEA) is a non-profit professional organization founded in 1991. It is the sole national organization of the building materials engineering construction industry in China dedicated to the research, development and promotion of building materials engineering construction technology.
The CBMEA covers the entire range of building materials engineering, encompassing residential and commercial buildings, industrial structures, civil engineering, foundations and other structures. The organization focuses on developing and implementing engineering standards and regulations, providing best practices, and building partnerships and knowledge networks among industry professionals.
The CBMEA has a distinguished record of accomplishment in promoting the development of the building materials engineering construction industry in China. The organization has drafted a range of standards and regulations - such as the Design Standard of Steel Structures for Buildings, Design and Construction Regulations for Buildings Made of Steel-reinforced Concrete, and Design Standard for Masonry Structures - that have been adopted by the government as national standards.
In addition, the CBMEA conducts and participates in research projects, holds technical seminars and symposiums, publishes journals and books, organizes training courses and programs, and creates an online collaborative platform for industry professionals to exchange information and knowledge. The CBMEA also provides consulting services and other technical assistance to government departments and industry organizations.
The CBMEA works closely with government authorities, educational institutions, and research institutes to improve the academic and technical knowledge of the industry. The organization regularly hosts International Forums on Building Materials Engineering Construction to bring together industry professionals from all over China and foreign countries.
Today, the CBMEA has a broad membership base that consists of over 2000 individual and organizational members. With its extensive network of members, the organization has achieved its mission to contribute to the growth of the building material engineering construction industry in China. Looking ahead to the future, the CBMEA will continue its efforts in leading the development of the industry and creating value-added services to its members.
