A Day at the Beach
The sun is shining, the sand is hot, the waves are crashing and the seagulls are cawing. These are all the wonderful sights and sounds of a summer day at the beach.
For many people, a visit to the beach means a moment to relax and have some fun. Whether it is a family outing, a romantic date, or a great day with friends, a beach has something to offer every kind of visitor.
When I go to the beach I usually like to start off with a morning swim. Nothing beats the feeling of immersing yourself in the cool water on a hot summer day! I can’t help but smile while I’m swimming, and I sometimes even come across the occasional sea creature. I always make sure to enjoy the moment, and after I’m out of the water, I like to lay down a big blanket and relax in the sun.
After a few hours of sunning myself I start to feel a bit hungry, so I make my way over to one of the local beach restaurants to indulge in a nice seafood meal. Eating while taking in an amazing view of the sea is one of my favorite things to do. I usually order a plate of seafood, a cold beer and some delicious French fries. The seafood is always so fresh and I find it so rewarding to eat something that was just caught in the waters the same day.
When the sun starts to set and the air starts to cool, I usually like to take a walk along the shore. As I look out at the horizon, I feel nothing but pure serenity and satisfaction. I love being able to watch the sun slowly disappear and the stars beginning to come out in the night sky.
Sitting on the beach and watching the stars come out is the best way to end the perfect day at the beach. I like to contemplate on how the sun, sea and sand created such a beautiful place, and how lucky I am to be able to witness it. A day at the beach is something I really value in my life, and something I think everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
