1.2 Technological requirements
The hot rolled sheets meet the requirements of GB/T 229-1994 Metallic Materials Tensile Testing Method. The tensile properties including yield strength, tensile strength and elongation meet the requirements in the table 1-1.
1.3. Surface quality
The aluminum and aluminum alloy hot rolled sheets should meet requirements of the following categories:
Grade A: Surface should not have noticeable defects
Grade B: Surface should not have defects which affects use
Grade C: Surface should not have defects which severely affects use
2. Test Method
2.1. Mechanical properties test: The tensile properties of the hot rolled sheet are tested in accordance with GB/T 229-1994 “Metallic Materials Tensile Testing Method”. The sample taken from finished product of the hot rolled sheet must ensure that the sample is fully representative of the main body of the hot rolled sheet.
2.2. Chemical Composition: The chemical elements are determined by GB/T 5231-2001 “Method of the Chemical Analysis of Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys”.
2.3 Hardness Test :The Brinell hardness test is used to measure the hardness of Aluminum and aluminum alloy hot rolled sheets. The test load should be applied for 10 to 15 seconds, and the value of its surface shall not be lower than HB60/1Kgf.
2.4.Appearance quality inspection
The appearance quality of the hot rolled sheet shall meet the requirements. The categories are Grade A, Grade B, Grade C according to the description mentioned in the clause 1.3. Surface quality.
2.5 Packaging: The hot rolled sheets shall be packaged according to the requirements of **** GB/T 13.1 Steel Protective Packaging.
3.mark: The hot rolled sheets shall mark its grade, specification, size and weight to show the grade, chemical elements content, etc., in accordance with the requirement of GB/T 1645-2003 “Steel Product Marking”.
4. quality certification: The manufacturer shall provide quality assurance documents in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 10671 “Steel Warehouse Wholesale in Normalization-Metallic Materials Quality and Certification General Rule”.
5. Product Classification:
Aluminum and aluminum alloys hot rolled sheets are divided into three categories according to the application and the alloy composition:
(1). Pure aluminum and high pure aluminum (exclude the 1100 SERIES) hot rolled sheets
(2). 3000 SERIES(Al-Mn) and 5000 SERIES(Al-Mg) hot rolled sheets
(3). 2000 SERIES(Al-Cu) and 7000 SERIES(Al-Zn-Mg-Cu) hot rolled sheets
This standard applies to the aluminum and aluminum alloy hot rolled sheets with a thickness of 0.8mm~6.0mm and a width more than or equal to 60mm.
The demand, quality certification and application of aluminum and aluminum alloys hot rolled sheets should meet the requirements of GB 10568-89.
