China Environmental Machinery Industry Association
The China Environmental Machinery Industry Association (CEMIA) was established in 2002 with the objective of promoting development of the environmental machinery industry in China. Since its founding, CEMIA has been at the forefront of innovation in various areas, including energy efficiency and sustainability, as well as technology and production processes.
CEMIAs work is primarily focused on ensuring the availability of best-in-class technologies and equipment to meet the countrys environmental protection objectives. Toward that end, the Association has invested substantially in research and development of cutting-edge techniques and technologies. In addition to R&D, CEMIA also provides technical training, Quality Control and certification services for environmental equipment manufacturers, as well as organizes educational events.
The environmental machinery industry in China is a major driving force in the countrys efforts to improve its environmental quality while supporting economic growth. Currently, there are more than 200 companies in this sector located throughout China, producing an estimated $20 billion every year in value. In turn, this has created large and rapidly growing environmental machinery markets in China and around the world.
In order to ensure the international compatibility and technological superiority of Chinas environmental machinery industry, CEMIA has recently adopted several international standards including ISO and CE (European Conformity). These standards have been designed to guarantee the quality of the equipment produced, as well as to facilitate market access for these products to global markets.
Since its inception, CEMIA has strived to create an open, collaborative environment in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and technologies. The association promotes the use of modern engineering techniques, and encourages technological innovation and collaboration among the various industry stakeholders. This has led to partnerships with a wide variety of international institutions and organizations.
CEMIA also serves as a major platform for information, communication, and interaction among industry professionals. Through its website, it provides industry news and information and facilitates communication between members and between industry professionals. Additionally, the association holds industry events such as seminars, conferences, and industry expositions which promote the development of Chinas environmental machinery industry as well as provide industry players with a platform to build international business relationships.
In recent years, CEMIA has emerged as a leader in the effort to protect and improve China’s environment. The association works with government to shape policy, and also provides consultancy services to various organizations and companies. Through its efforts, CEMIA has contributed significantly to the development of China’s environmental machinery industry.
