Salt, also known as salt or salt, is a kind of chemical substance. It exists in nature and is widely used in human production and life. Salt is a necessary food for life, but the inorganic salts consumed by subhuman bodies contain many impurities, and the human body can not directly use them. In order to make the salt meet the food health standard, it must be refined and treated.

Salt refining is a process of separating salt from impurities like rock particles, soil, clay and other kinds of materials. This process usually happens in two stages: dry and wet process. During dry refining, the salt is first screened and separated from impurities by crushing and drying. The washed and screened salt is then exposed to extreme temperatures through vacuum panning or steam evaporation, which causes the salt grains to expand and release impurities.

The salt refining process is not an easy task. It requires a vast amount of heat energy, expensive equipment and a long time to complete. It is composed of several different sub-processes, such as carbonization, briquette production, roasting, melting and cooling. The refining process typically involves the use of large furnaces where temperatures reach as high as 1250℃. During the operation, the salt is heated in a furnace, usually between 800 and 1000℃, along with other materials that help in the removal of impurities.

The salt after the refining is a pure product. It can be further processed into refined salt and special salt, such as iodized salt. Due to its high degree of purity, molten salt is used for industrial and medical purposes. In chemical industries, it is used for the production of caustic soda, bleach and bleaching powder. In food industry, it is used for homogenizing, flavouring and preserving food. In medical industry, it is used as an antiseptic, haemostatic and antifungal.

Salt refining is an old and necessary process. The quality of salt depends not only on the refining process, but also on the choice of equipment, energy, personnel and technology. Refined salt is an important part of the standard daily diet. Therefore, in order to ensure that the salt is pure and free of contamination, it is necessary to have an efficient and advanced salt refining approach.

介绍

Salt melting is a process of using high temperatures to melting salt crystals into liquid salt. In current industrial production, the commonly used salt-melting process is the open-flame burning method. Due to the strong air convection and radiation heat transfer of the atmosphere, it can ensure a higher melting temperature.

Salt-melting furnaces are mainly based on gas heat and fuel oil-firing furnaces. The heating elements of the salt-melting furnace are mainly made of steel, and the heat-resistant materials are mainly corundum, alumina, and graphite plates. The temperature of the furnace body shell should be between 500℃ to 1000℃, and the heating temperature of the molten salt should be within the range of 700℃ to 1200℃.

Salt-melting furnaces generally have automatic oil-feed and automatic ignition functions, which are used to start automatic heating and burning, and can be controlled by a thermostat. In addition, in order to prevent flame arresters and fire hazards, the salt-melting furnace also has temperature control, pressure control, and exhaust setting.

Because of the open-flame melting process, the heat utilization rate of the fuel is only about 30%, and the salt residue will remain at the bottom of the salt-melting furnace. In order to ensure the quality of the molten salt and reduce the residue, the molten salt alternates between molten and solidification, which can effectively reduce the amount of salt residue.

In short, the salt-melting process is an important way to produce industrial salt. With the safe and reasonable operation process and reasonable equipment selection, the production of salt can be effectively improved, which is of great significance to the industry.
