The Exergen TemporalScanner TAT-5000C digital thermometer is used to accurately measure core body temperature in adults, children and infants. The non-invasive thermometer features a patented temporal artery technology that quickly scans the artery located in the forehead to acquire the temperature reading. The thermometer is equipped with an 8-second scan time, producing accurate readings in adults and four-to-five second readings for children or infants.
The temporal artery thermometer also features a memory recall that retains the last 20 readings for easy monitoring of temperature trends. The three-color backlight display indicates normal temperature readings, raised or lowered temperatures and memory recall readings. The thermometer is equipped with a probe cover eject button, widely spaced buttons for easy access and a soft, comfortable headpiece.
