The North China Oil Region

The North China Oil Region is an important area of oil and gas extraction in China. This region is composed of a number of provinces, cities and autonomous regions, including Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Gansu and Qinghai.

An analysis of the various components of this region reveals that it has plenty of exploitable oil and gas resources. In fact, experts estimate that the total reserves in this region are approximately 40 billion tons, with around 80 billion cubic meters of recoverable natural gas and 15 billion barrels of recoverable oil.

The majority of the oil fields in this region are located in the northeast, in areas such as Hebei, Inner Mongolia, and Shanxi. The largest field in this region is the Daqing field, which boasts a production of over 6 million tons of oil annually. This region also includes the Liaohe oil field, which is located in northern Liaoning Province. This oil field is the second largest oil field in China and produces over 3 million tons of oil annually. In addition to these major oil fields, the North China Oil Region also features a number of smaller oil fields including the Zaozhuang field, the Xiahuayuan field and the Yongxing field.

Additionally, this region also has a number of natural gas fields, which are mainly tensed in areas such as Hebei, Shaanxi and Shanxi. The two largest natural gas fields are the Wuxi gas field, which produces approximately 11 billion cubic meters of gas annually and the Yaoshan field which has a production of approximately 8 billion cubic meters of gas each year.

Furthermore, the North China Oil Region is also home to a number of major oil and gas processing plants. Notable amongst these is the Jinzhou Petrochemical Complex. This complex is the largest oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Asia and produces a variety of refined oil products and chemicals such as gasoline, diesel and petrochemicals.

Given its wide range of oil and gas reserves, it is not surprising that the North China Oil Region is one of the most important oil and gas regions in the entire country. In fact, it is estimated that there are over 60,000 wells in the North China Oil Region and the majority of these provide a steady supply of oil and gas to the economy. As such, there is little doubt that this region plays a major role in both China and the global economies.
