The alloy 4J43 (YB/T5236-1993) belongs to the class of cobalt-based alloys. It has good corrosion resistance and high temperature oxidation resistance, and is widely used in automobile, mechanical, electrical and other fields due to its high strength, high temperature performance and good electrical and thermal conductivity.

In terms of chemical composition, the element of cobalt is the main component of 4J43, accounting for about 73%. The other elements are chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn) and carbon (C). The amount of chromium and nickel is 9-11% and 14-16% respectively. The content of iron is less than 5%. The content of manganese is 0.8-1.2%, and the content of carbon is not more than 0.1%. According to the performance requirements of the alloy material, the heat treatment process control is an essential part of the whole production process.

With respect to the mechanical properties of the alloy 4J43, the ultimate tensile strength is up to 890MPa -1010 MPa, the yield strength is over 690 MPa, the relative elongation is about 10%, and the hardness is about 30 HRC after the corresponding heat treatment process. In addition, the alloy also has good comprehensive performance such as good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, especially good corrosion resistance in high temperature and high pressure environments.

In terms of machining, the alloy 4J43 is machined with ordinary high-speed steel, but in order to ensure the quality of the machined parts, the allowable cutting speed should be reduced appropriately. In addition, high cutting pressure and strong cutting force must be applied during machining. Generally speaking, the upper limit of spindle speed does not exceed 500 rpm in the processing of 4J43.

In a word, the alloy 4J43 (YB/T5236-1993) has excellent comprehensive performance such as high strength, good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and can be widely used in automobile, machinery, electricity and other fields. In the machining process of the alloy, the upper limit of spindle speed should be appropriately reduced, and the cutting force should be strong.
