The AISI4135/SAE4135/JIS SCM435/DIN 34CrMo4/GB 35CrMo steel is a low-alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents. Its chemical composition is as follows: 0.32-0.39% Carbon, 0.17-0.37% Silicon, 0.50-0.80% Manganese, 0.80-1.00% Chromium, 0.15-0.25% Molybdenum, and the base metal Iron. It is widely used to make components with a required core tensile strength of 800 – 1200 N/mm² and good toughness, such as heavy-duty axles, shafts, gears, bolts and stud bolts used for the automotive and engineering industries.
