Application of Control System in Continuous Small Steel Rolling Mill
Modern steel rolling production adopts a continuous rolling process, which is to transfer heat-treated steel rolled strips into coiled strips by continuous rolling. In order to ensure the production accuracy and quality, the control system of the continuous small steel rolling mill is specially designed.
The control system of continuous small steel rolling mill mainly includes three parts: electrical control system, mechanical feedback system and melting control system. The electrical control system is the core of the control system. It is mainly composed of distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, frequency converters and various sensors. In addition, various mechanical feedback systems play an important role in controlling the speed and tension of steel strips. The melting control system is mainly composed of DC motor, clutch, oil cylinder and gearbox. These three systems cooperate with each other to form a closed-loop control system and form a complete system.
The electrical control system of continuous small steel rolling mill is mainly composed of distributed control system (DCS) and programmable logic controller (PLC). The DCS is responsible for the overall control of the mill, including communication interface, control logic, monitoring display and malfunction diagnosis systems. The PLC is mainly responsible for decentralized control tasks. This system can collect signals from various sensors and make corresponding control decisions according to the set parameters.
The mechanical feedback system is composed of various transmission mechanisms. The driving force of the mill is provided by a variable frequency motor and oil cylinder. The variable frequency motor is used to adjust the speed of the rolling mill, and the oil cylinder is used to adjust the tension of the steel strip. In order to ensure the accuracy of the adjustment, it is necessary to detect the tension and speed of the strip. The sensors used here are: speed sensors, tension sensors, strip displacement sensors, strip thickness sensors and strip width sensors. They can real-time detect the parameters of the strip, and then feedback the signals to the control system.
The last component of the continuous small steel rolling mill is the melting control system, which is mainly composed of a DC motor, clutch, oil cylinder and gearbox. The DC motor is used to adjust the floating table position and force, the clutch is used to disconnect the drive, the oil cylinder is used to adjust the floating table gap, and the gearbox is used to speed up and reduce the speed of the motor.
In conclusion, the control system of continuous small steel rolling mill is composed of electrical control system, mechanical feedback system and melting control system. It is a closed-loop control system. It can monitor the parameters of the steel strip in real-time and make corresponding control decisions, thus ensuring the accuracy of the production process and the quality of the product.
